Terms of Service

1. What this service is
LeaseCraft is self-help software that generates legal documents from your answers and state-specific templates. LeaseCraft is not a law firm, does not provide legal advice, and no attorney-client relationship is created by using it. Only you can decide whether a document fits your situation; we make that easy by showing you the complete document before you pay. State rules cited in our documents are verified against official sources and reviewed periodically, but laws change and local ordinances may apply — you are responsible for reviewing what you sign.
2. Accounts & eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old and able to form binding contracts to purchase documents. You provide the content that goes into your documents; you confirm you have the right to use it.
3. Payment
Documents are free to build and preview. You pay once per document to unlock the final PDF and e-signing: $19 per lease, $9 per letter, $29 per bundle. Launch pricing — $12 per lease for the first 100 customers — is a one-time grandfathered price for those customers. All payments are one-time; nothing auto-renews and we never store a card for "upcoming charges". Payments are processed by our merchant of record, Lemon Squeezy, which charges your card and remits applicable sales tax/VAT on our behalf.
4. Refunds
If a technical fault on our side prevents you from completing or downloading your document, contact us within 14 days and we will fix it or refund you in full. Because the full document is always previewable before payment, refunds for change of mind are considered case by case. Our 30-day free re-edit window means typos and small changes after purchase are free — use it.
5. Electronic signatures
E-signatures on LeaseCraft documents are designed to comply with the U.S. federal ESIGN Act and state UETA laws, which generally give electronic signatures the same validity as handwritten ones for residential leases. Each signature is bound to the final document, and each signing event is recorded in an audit trail (signer identity, UTC time, IP address, signature method), which both parties receive with the signed document. Some documents and jurisdictions can require wet signatures in specific circumstances; you remain responsible for compliance with your state's current requirements.
6. Acceptable use
Don't use the service to create fraudulent documents, to misrepresent who you are, or to violate anyone's rights. We may refuse or cancel service where reasonably required by law or to prevent abuse.
7. Disclaimer & limitation of liability
The service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, to the maximum extent permitted by law. Documents you generate are templates completed with your information; we do not guarantee any particular legal outcome. To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, our total liability for any claim arising out of the service is limited to the amount you paid us for the document concerned, and we are not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages.
8. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction where the operator of LeaseCraft is established, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Payment-related disputes are additionally subject to Lemon Squeezy's merchant terms as the merchant of record. Statutory consumer rights that cannot be waived under your local law remain unaffected.
9. Changes
We may update these terms as the service evolves; the date above changes when we do. If a change is material, we say so on the site. The terms in force when you purchased a document govern that purchase.
10. Contact
The fastest way to reach a human: reply to any receipt or document email, or use the support link on your order page — our payment partner routes customer messages to us.
